| The
new extension of the primary school is carefully arranged between the
existing green of a Belgian landscape park and Castle Dileek, near Brussels. The
distinctive shape of the two-story high design creates a coherent ensemble
with the existing buildings and shows confidently the schools new image
towards the town of Dilbeek. Due to its particular shape and the precise position on site, the new part of the school provides a new entry area to the whole schoolyard. With classrooms that are directly related to the park on the ground floor and the ones that are provided with star-like skylights on the first floor the new building meets perfectly the requirements of the school. With its publicly accessible lobby and multipurpose area, it will also give new opportunities to the cultural and political life to the municipality of Dilbeek. |
